Primary school

We take great pleasure in teaching year 5 and 6 primary school classes, and that’s how we wish for the children to learn as well: we work on strengthening their motivation and maintaining their curiosity. We consider creative and playful learning an important element of teaching. Small classes allow us to supervise the children closely and individually. We want our students to gain self-confidence and realise what they are interested in – and that learning can open up the world for them.

Treating each other respectfully and warm-heartedly is standard at our school. We have special hours for the children to practise introspection and voice mutual feedback.

Our students can also reach us outside of school lessons. The school building is open from 8:00–18.00. Lessons start at 8:30. On Monday, Thursday and Friday our professional caterer delivers a healthy lunch to the school. Alternatively, students can eat what they brought from home. Eating together allows us to also get to know each other better outside the classroom. This is furthermore supported by projects involving the whole school. After school, the children can do their homework and prepare for exams. This is supervised by a teacher during 2–3 scheduled lessons per week.

Our lessons are based on the official Swiss curriculum (Lehrplan 21). Children start to learn French in year 3 and English in year 5. Moving on to secondary school is stress-free: definitive assessment takes place at the end of year 8. Level assessment may however be conducted earlier if a child wants to switch to a state-run secondary school.

We currently only have one year 5 and 6. Please contact us if you are interested in a lower class!
