Community

We regard our school as a community that we wish to care for and nurture. In order to strengthen this sense of community and to train social competencies, we conduct school trips, sports days, project weeks and sports programmes for several classes which includes all of our pupils.

Talks are conducted regularly with all the students. These serve to set goals and allow early recognition of and reaction to any potential problems.

We consider the exchange between school, students and parents to be vital. We want you to know what is happening at school – be it positive or negative. To this end, we organise regular parents’ evenings, have one or two open days every year and publish newsletters when appropriate. Additionally, the school management is always ready to listen and assist with any issues that may arise.

Supervised lunch

Our supervised lunch takes place on Monday, Thursday and Friday. Healthy meals are delivered by our professional caterer Parterre Basel. Meals are not included in the school fees.

Alternatively, students can eat what they brought from home. A microwave oven is available to heat up lunches brought from home.

Eco School Award

Eco-Schools was created in Denmark in 1994 by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE), following the Earth Summit in Rio in 1992. Today, it is the largest international accreditation and education for sustainable development (ESD) programme in the world. It helps schools to make a commitment to operating in a more sustainable way, while encouraging young people to play a proactive role in society.
